Submit a Resource

Please send us your writing instruction resources!

  1. What: We are looking for lessons, prompts, activities, teaching practices, handouts, etc. that you have tried and have worked well with your classes. Please include a 50-word summary of the teaching tool, a detailed description of how/why you implement this in the classroom. Also, if possible, please include a public domain photo or a photo that you have the rights to. You can send us as many as you think would be useful.
  2. Who: Anyone. Literally. If you have a useful writing instruction resource, send it in.
  3. Why: We are trying to develop more teaching resources for Write Alaska. Think about lessons or prompts that could be altered/used in any class or by anyone. We are especially keen to have resources that teachers in all disciplines can use to help foster writing in their classes. Things we really could use include practices/lessons/prompts that focus on: analysis, peer review, revision, collaboration, genre, and giving students feedback.
  4. Where: write.alaska.edu
  5. How: Just email us your lesson  to alaskawrite@gmail.com. You can send us as many teaching tools as you think should be on the site. Make sure they follow this format:
